In preparation for this November at the Fort designers Simon Rossiter – lights, Andjelija Djuric – costumes, Julia Aplin – music/sound, James Kendal – Tech direction/video and Gerry all met at Butler’s Pantry on Markham St. in Toronto — we look so forward to revealing what we are discovering.   The Blue Barracks at the Fort where the room itself, a series of five tables by Jeff Livingston, design elements, Julia Aplin’s collection of installed musical instruments become a landscape for the performers – at times tender, silent, cruel, joyous, lonely, peaceful,  an endless northern winter.  All in answer (or toward deeper questions) to what has become a series of Art of Peace questions.  How do we arrive to a place?  How do we naturalize to a new home? How do ask the land and people if we might stay?
